  3. Continued Areas of Focus • Classroom Assessments – • Rubric Design using new Bloom’s • Writing rubrics • Stronger Emphasis on Math in the CTE classroom • Character Education – Soft Skills

  4. New Areas of Focus for 2011-2012 • Implement 5- School Wide Rules • Creating a “College-Going” atmosphere in our center where students know that furthering their education will help them in their future. • Use Workplace Skills: Applied Mathematics and Locating Information to better prepare our students for Career Readiness assessments that local industries are using. (WorkKeys)

  5. Renovations – changes over summer • Promethean Boards added to 8 rooms • All teachers received new computer and monitor

  6. Renovations…. • Cosmetology Lab was painted • Rolling tables purchased for classrooms with computers – floor

  7. Renovations continued Boiler Project AC added to Genie’s classroom

  8. New Camera System Inside Outside

  9. Surveillance System in Mr. Edwards office

  10. Ice Machine – Culinary Kitchen

  11. HAAS Mill with tool changer

  12. Other Purchases- State and Federal Monies • IPAD2’s – 20 • Adobe CS5.5 – newest software
