Extended Essay (EE) • 4,000 words • Offers the opportunity to investigate a research question of individual interest • Familiarizes students with the independent research and writing skills expected at university
Theory of Knowledge (TOK) • Interdisciplinary • Explores the nature of knowledge across disciplines • Encouraging an appreciation of other cultural perspectives
IB Certificate • A student must: • Meet minimum course prerequisites . • Take one or more IB courses out of the six groups of study as part of their high school program. • Complete internal and external assessments.

Prerequisites for W-L Pre-IB • Prerequisites for W-L Pre-IB include the following: • Algebra I – current enrollment in Algebra I or greater in grade 8. • Spanish II, French II, or Latin I – current enrollment in grade 8. • Strong grades (A’s and B’s) in all subjects
The IB Transfer Process • Application Deadline – January 21, 2011 (4PM) • At least one parent or guardian must attend two high school information sessions. A transfer application must be signed by the principal at the end of each meeting. • All applications are due to the IB office by 4 PM on January 21st. • Bus transportation is provided for IB transfers that live at least 1.5 miles away. • Transfers that do not pursue the full diploma must take three IB courses Junior and Senior year.
