MoDOT’s Preparation for MSHP/MoDOT Integration • Implemented TMS (Transportation Management Systems) in 1998. • Implemented our first interface with MSHP in January 2000 to eliminate using a mainframe edit application.
MoDOT’s Preparation for MSHP/MoDOT Integration • In conjunction with the new report form (2002), we changed how crashes were located • Implemented distance from a known intersection as method of locating crashes • Assisted MSHP in training law enforcement officers on the new location methodology • Provided an application to law enforcement officers with routes and intersections available in TMS
