Learn how to sign up for classes on SPAN • How do I sign up for my classes? • When do I have to have it finished? • What classes can I take?
What do I have to do to Graduate? 1. Earn a certain amount of credits. Pass the EOC in Common Core I, Biology, and English II.

Do I have to take a Foreign Language… To graduate High School? To attend a UNC college? No. Yes… at least 2 years of the same language. Tip! 9th graders should not take a foreign language their Freshman Year unless they have taken it in Middle School. (exception = Enloe.)
Attendance 2 absences in a block scheduled class is like missing 4 days of learning. WCPSS policy dictates a student absent for more than 10 days in a semester class or 20 days in a yearlong class can be assigned a grade of “FF” indicating failure due to excessive absences.This includes both excused and unexcused absences.
Other important pieces of information… Driver Eligibility Athletic Eligibility… Athlete must be at school the entire day in order to participate in activities or practices. Must pass 3 core courses during the previous semester Must maintain overall 1.5 GPA Must not be convicted of a felony May not participate in practice or play if assigned to ISS or OSS. All incoming freshman are automatically eligible for athletics during the fall semester of their freshman year! • Students must pass 70% of courses to be able to get or keep their drivers license! • $45 fee to take Driver’s Education • Students must be 14 ½ Years old • 30 hours classroom instruction • Students must complete 6 hours of actual driving

High School Course registration on SPAN Creating a SPAN password you can remember is super important! Now, you can login to your personal SPAN account to check your grades & missing assignments!

SPAN Registration span.wcpss.net Option #1 Register @ Home • Use your STUDENT SPAN ACCOUNT • Feb. 25 – March 7 • Students will finalize schedule from home and print out 2 copies: 1.one to keep 2.one for Ms. Barbour Option 2- Register with Ms. Barbour • Students will sign up for an appointment in Student Services (deadline 2/27) • Students will finalize schedule at school, print out 2 copies: 1.one to keep. 2;one goes home, is signed byparent, and returned to Ms. Barbour.
