NBA All-Star Traffic Management • Coordination started last February with NBA, Orange County Convention Center, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orlando Police Department and others • Approximately 25,000 attendees per day • Prior large events include: • International Builders’ Show 55,000 attendees • PGA Merchandise Show 42,000 attendees • Performance Racing Industry 37,000 attendees

NBA All Star Traffic Management • Conditions monitored by Traffic Management Center each day • Split Cycle Offset Optimization Technique (SCOOT) operation: • International Drive • Sand Lake Road • Universal Boulevard • Signals remotely controlled • Intersections monitored via CCTV cameras • Travel information on message boards • Multiple agency coordination in Command Center

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be providing security beginning Wednesday, February 22nd, to the Orange County Convention Center and the International Drive Area. • The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be providing traffic control and escort services as appropriate. • We are working in conjunction with our partners at the FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). • Training exercises have been conducted in preparation for the event.
