  4. Who has a Student Learning Objective? Third grade courses require SLOs because there is no SGP calculationdue to a lack of standardized assessment in 2nd grade. TKES requires a minimum of one growth measure (SGP or SLO) per teacherso all courses will not have an SLO or EOC/EOG, but all teachers who are not considered “contributing professionals” will have at least ONE course with an EOC/EOG. All Cobb-developed SLOs must be administered Cobb-wide which may lead to two or more growth measures for some teachers. Office of Assessment and Personalized Learning Teaching and Learning Division

  5. Student must be enrolled65% of course instructional days and must have completed a pre-assessment and post-assessment to count in the growth measure. ALL students will be assessed regardless of when they enter a class with an SLO, but only students meeting the enrollment criteria will affect the Teacher Effectiveness Measure. • Teachers must be employed at least 65% of instructional days to have a growth measure. • Teachers that provide instruction in classrooms or courses with less than 15 students are required to administer SLOs. Student data will not be used in the Teacher Effectiveness Measure (TEM), but it will be reflected in the Leader Effectiveness Measure (LEM). • The SLO assessment cycle will not begin until January this school year.
