LTEfC 分四個級別 • Level 1- Firstwords (預備) • Level 2 - Springboard (起步) • Level 3 – Quickmarch (進步) • Level 4 – Breakthrough (突破)
考試內容及形式 • 考卷測試使用英語的四種技巧 • 試題分兩卷 • ~ 卷一(聆聽,閱讀理解及長篇寫作) • ~ 卷二(說話) • 1. Board game • 2. Simple Individual Task
證書 考卷由專業人士訂定和評核。 成功的考生將獲培生(Pearson)旗下公司 Edexcel 頒發證書 ~ 合格 (Pass) ~ 卓越 (Distinction)

備試方法 • 練習過往的試題 • 用腦圖(mind map) 溫習生字 • 學習與香港課程合配的內容,並多加練習。 • 與家人玩Board game 練習玩此類遊戲的用語。 • e.g. It’s your turn. • Roll the dice. • 有文化差異 • 可嘗試模仿Sample paper 自擬題目 • 跟 Topic 作句或作文
Level 2: Springboard • 考試內容: • Areas of Language Use • Answer question about a picture • Use the alphabet • Recognize words when spelt out • Ask/ say what people are doing • Express likes / dislikes • Talk about likes and dislikes • Talk about habits and routines • Tell the time (hours only) / state day of week • Express numbers from 1 to 100 • Express ability
Level 2: Springboard • 考試內容: • 2. Main Structures • The present continuous – interrogative and negative ( Is Ben wearing a red T-shirt? / Annie isn’t eating a cheeseburger.) • Like + ng (Ben doesn’t like getting up early/ Sophie loves school.) • The simple present tense for habits. (Lions eat meat./ The baby doesn’t eat hamburgers./ Does Mrs Brown start work at 8.00?) J.2 • Adverbs of frequency (Sometimes, always, never, often)

Main Structures • past tense of verb to be ( Was, were ) • The simple past tense (I walked./ I didn’t walk./ Did you walk ?) • Irregular past forms of common verbs (went, got up, ate m drank, slept , came) J.4 • Use ‘going to’ to express future plans and intentions (I am going to visit my aunt nest week./ I am going to work hard this year.) Level 4: Breakthrough • 考試內容: • Area of Language Use • Describe everyday objects • Describe how objects feel • Describe sensations • Give instructions such as directions and procedures • Write a story/narrative about a special event • Talk about past experiences • Ask for /give explanations and express purpose • Ask for/ give opinions • Ask about/state preferences • Predict and discuss future possibility • Offer, request, make spontaneous decisions
Level 4: Breakthrough • 考試內容: • 2. Main Structures • Present perfect (Have you ever been to London? I have never been to New York.) J.5 • ‘will’ future for predictions ( We think Ben’s team will win.) • First conditional form with ‘if’ and ‘when’. (If Annie finishes her homework, she will go out.) • ‘Would’ for polite offers (Would you like a cup of tea?/ • Would (rather )for preferences (I wouldn’t like to go to…/ I would rather go to ?) • Past continuous in narratives (Mr Brown was having breakfast when the phone rang.) • The infinitive to indicate purpose (Grandmother made a cake to give to Diana.) • Tag questions ( She is/ isn’t she/They will/ won’t they ?)
