What is the definition of an ecosystem and describe the three types of ecosystems from the above standard? 2. Give an example and define each type of interaction within a marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystem. 3. In which ways do humans effect ecosystems that harm the three interactions listed in the above standard?

    4. Ecology Standard 11B  investigate how organisms and populations in an ecosystem depend on and may compete for biotic and abiotic factors such as quantity of light, water, range of temperatures, or soil composition 1. What is the difference between biotic and abiotic factors? 2. Give an example of an organism that competes for water, temperature, soil and light? 3. Give an example of how organisms compete for biotic and abiotic factors within an ecosystem?
