  2. NAMI Run for the Mind • Please welcome Tim Traynor! • When: Oct. 5th 7am-12pm • UNLIMITED • What: Set up, time runners, guide runners, etc. • Where: Danada Forest Preserve on Naperville Rd.

  3. LAST MINUTE CHILDCARE • When: TODAY (Sept. 11) 7pm-8:30pm • Where: Bower Elementary School (4S241 River Rd  Warrenville) • What: Playing with kids during PTA meeting. • 2 Spots

  4. StepByStep Resale • When: Sat. Sept. 14th 3pm-6pm • Where: DuPage County Fairgrounds Building 4, 2015 W. Manchester Road Wheaton • What: Set up/take down and help with resale • 6 Spots

  5. Mothers and More Resale • When: Sat. Sept. 14th • 7 am 10 a.m. 4 Spots • 10am-2 p.m. - these volunteers get free pizza lunch. 6 Spots • 2:30pm-5:30 pm 15 Spots • Where: DuPage County Fairgrounds in the white one-story Home Economics building • What: Helping with set up, sorting, and check out

  6. Childcare • When: Tues. Sept. 17 and 24 and Thurs. Sept. 19 and 26 • Where: Johnson Elementary School • Time: 6:00-8:40 • 3 Spots/day • What: Playing with kids while parents take English classes.

  7. Art on the Prairie/Jazz Festival • When: Sat. Sept. 21 and Sun. Sept. 22 • 7:30am -11am 10 Spots/day • 11am-3pm  6 Spots/day  • 2:30pm-6pm 8 Spots/day • Where: Warrenville City Hall (Stafford Pl, Warrenville) • What: Helping with kids’ art station, set up, take down

  8. Lincoln Clothing Sale • When: • Fri Oct. 4th 3pm-6pm and Sat. Oct. 5th 10:30am-1pm • 10 Spots/day • Where: Lincoln Elementary School (630 Dawes Ave. Wheaton) • What: Set up, helping out with the sale!

  9. JDRF Walk • When • Sat. Oct. 5th 8am-12pm and Sun. Oct. 6th 7am-11am • Where: St. James Farm • 10 Spots/day • What: Set up/tear down, cheering on and guiding walkers, passing out water, etc. Proceeds go towards Diabetes research!

  10. Fall Festival • When: Oct. 5th 1pm-4 pm • Where: Westfield Elementary School (Mayfield Lane just south of 22nd Street, Glen Ellyn) • What:Helping with the kids’ game stations, face painting, etc. • 10 Spots

  11. AAUW Book Drive • 1 Hour/couple of books • That means more than 3! • What You Can Donate: Chapter books, picture books, etc. NOT textbooks, audiobooks, or CD’s. • Due By: Nov. 13th

  13. Taco Dance Party (2 SPOTS LEFT) • When: Friday, Sept. 13, 6:00 - 8:00 pm • Where: Johnson Elementary (Enter Door #1) • What: Serving food and helping to run some games for the kids • Number of Volunteers Needed: 6

  14. Stadium Decorations (FULL) • When: Friday, September 13th, 2:15 - 4:00 pm • Where: Meet at ticket booth • What: Build balloon arch, hang banners, Tiger flags, Styrofoam cup design . After game, take down flags, cups, balloon arch. • 6 People Needed

  15. Naperville Trails Half Marathon (FULL) • When: 9/15/13- 6:50am-11:30am or 7:40am-Noon • What: Volunteers would help with registration and check in of participants, water stations, course marshaling, clean up, etc. • Where: Danada Forest Preserve (3S503 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189) • Why: Half Marathon Run for Special Olympics IL (Volunteers will receive free t-shirts) • 50 Volunteers Needed

  16. Worldwide Day of Play (FULL) • Saturday, September 21st, 10am-2pm • Wheaton Park District Community Center 1777 S Blanchard Rd, Wheaton, IL • Volunteers will greet people, running "play" stations, hoola hoop contest, bounce house, obstacle course • 10 volunteers

  17. Fall/ Winter Children's Clothing Sale (FULL) • When: September 21st, 1-3 PM • Where: Warrenville Fire Station #1 on Batavia Rd. • What: Taking down the sale, moving boxes and metal racks • 5 Volunteers Needed

  18. Annual Family Hayride (FULL) • When: September 21st from 4:30-7:30 p.m • Where: Danada Equestrian Center, 3s507 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL • What: Helping out with hayride, various activities • Meet by the campfire, arrive at 4:15

  19. Homecoming Decorations (FULL) TIME: 1pm-4pmish • When: September 27th in the afternoon • Needed: 5 people to form committee (Plans how the hallway is decorated) SEE US UP FRONT • 10 additional volunteers to decorate

  20. Novice Show Ushering (FULL) • When: Friday - Sept. 27 - 6:30pm • Saturday - Sept. 28 - 1:00pm • Saturday - Sept. 28 - 6:30pm • Ushers shirts will be supplied. Each usher should wear either black or khaki pants - no shorts, sweats or jeans • Expect to stay ½ an hour after the show ends

  21. Long Term Events • Connection of Friends - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3-6, and Saturday nights from 6-9 • Peoples’ Resource Center • See us if interested
