Membership and Mission Review Board • The MMRB: • Makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners concerning appointments to advisory boards. • Conducts sunset reviews of advisory boards. • Encourages and promotes advisory board membership. • Works to increase gender, racial, ethnic, and geographic diversity on the advisory boards.
Membership and Mission Review Board • There are currently 57 active Orange County advisory boards. • Of those 57 advisory boards, 38 fall under the purview of the MMRB. • There are currently 336 volunteers serving on the advisory boards, giving an estimated 7200 hours of their time annually.

Brown • District Two – Pinkie Freeman • District Three – Jose Troche • District Four – John Henkle, Jr. • District Five – Cathy Kerns (Chairman) • District Six – D. J. Hardrick • Mayor’s Representative – Sami Qubty (Vice Chairman) • At Large – Evelyn Rivera • At Large – Ronald Rogers
Membership and Mission Review Board • Members of Orange County’s advisory boards must: • be residents of Orange County • be registered voters • be at least 18 years of age
Membership and Mission Review Board • Selection Criteria: • Qualifications required for the position • May include specific technical or professional experience • Current gender diversity of the board • Current racial and ethnic diversity of the board • Current geographic diversity of the board
Membership and Mission Review Board • The goal of the MMRB is to select the best possible candidate with the right skill sets while taking into consideration the gender, racial/ethnic, and geographic diversity desired to reflect the current population in Orange County.
