  2. What Did I learn thus far? • Elluminate: I had my first lesson in a virtual classroom. At the beginning, I struggled but now I think it is great. • I had a blog, wiki, and personal web site. • I actually understand much better now, in my second technology class, how wikis, blogs, and web sites can be used in real classrooms as teaching tools.

  3. What did I learn thus far cont. • First time I will used a microphone • I experienced podcasting • I have an account in del.icio.us, slide share, mind meister, podcast.com …and more

  4. How will I use this information • Wiki:I will use for group projects (great idea to do collaborative research about a new culture or country) • Blog: I will use for reflection (great idea to practice writing in a foreign language) • Personal Website: I will use to inform students and parents about assignments, grades, resources and more • Del.icio.us: I will use to accumulate great websites for our content along with students

  5. Podcasting • When I watched the video about how to podcast, I was confused. However, when trying little bit, exploring the programs (Audacity), it gets easier. I am glad I did it, because the feeling that I have says to try all the tools that I am introduced in this course.

  6. How will I use? • I want to use technology in every classroom. • No matter what you do with technology, it feels exciting. Therefore I believe that students, who don’t like to talk (essential in foreign language classroom) will be thrilled to speak with a microphone. • Technological tools will be as natural to use as our parents use ATM machines now.

  7. If I had to explain this course to someone… • I already explained to many people about this course. MSMC community already know that Dr. Smirnova is always updated with new information. I was sure to learn what is new out there. That’s why I took this course even though it was not a requirement. I explain to everyone that there are so many technological tools out there to explore and use, and it is really fun.

  8. Literacy & Technology What is good about this course? What would I change about this course? My only complain is time. When I took Teaching with Technology, I struggled to finish the assignments. Now, my concern with time is not about finishing the assignments, but to have enough time to explore all the magnificent tools. I love the course content and also the enthusiasm that Dr. Smirnova puts in the class. I always feel that Dr. Smirnova is trying everyone to touch what is out there, and at the same time, raise everyone’s standard to an academic level.

  9. Me & Course • I signed up the first day of the course. • I am struggling to keep up, but I am very happy that I took the course. This is a constructivist course that I just read about today and prepared the web quest. • I am engaged and exploring all the time and learning a lot of information. • Thank You for this wonderful course
