Mise en scene • Grey surroundings • Simplistic setting with a key central park which is re-visited througout the film. • Overall it has Monotone colours • All characters wear the same thing and have the same face apart from the child who was the main character.
Camera work • Establishing shot • Wide long shots • Tracking shots • Birds eye view shot • High angle and low angles to show supremacy • Over the shoulder shots when playing violin
Editing • Montage • Split screen • Matching action (The violin string moves and the dad moves with it).
Sound • Composition the entire way through the movie changing depending on what happens. • Non diegetic sound, However, sometimes it fits in with what could really be heard in the setting of the film. • For example, when the violin plays the backing track becomes more classical.
