Our Product and genre • The genre of our opening sequence is thriller/horror. Overall, the narritive is about a young teenager who has many family issues and an unhealthy relationship with her dad ever since the mom died. She is in contact with a stalker, who is a catfish. (This is where you pretend to be someone who you are not). Despite the dads warning of going to the mans house, she gets in an argument with her father and goes to the mans house thinking he is a teenager. She gets worried and runs to the bathroom to hide.

How conventions in our thriller represent social groups/issues • Relationships become solved again • The dad of the girl comes to save her despite their bad relationship. • The villian never has anyone there to help • The victem will always have someone to save the day no matter who or what the circumstance is and this brings happiness to the audience. This shows the girl on her phone texting the dad for help whilst she is in danger.
