Standardization of Local Data Nodes • 3-years, ~$300K/yr (reduced to ~$225 year 2) • Shared equally with 10 nodes + PM + E/O • Tasks • Participate in IOOS Obs Registry • Adopt Common Dictionary • Serve Scalar and Vectors via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services service interfaces (WFS, WCS) • IT Staff attend interoperability meetings.
NOAA IOOS Data Integration Framework (DIF) • DIF technologies introduced to IOOS 2007 Grantees in Charleston Feb 2008 • NOAA encourages participation in that effort by grantees by • adopting common data model • adopting common metadata • adopting common OGC Web Services
