God Is Awesome. He spoke the world into existence. And He can use even YOU. No foundational concept from which to reason. Romans 11: 33 – Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways !. Ephesians 3: 20

He spoke the world into existence. And He can use even YOU
Romans 11: 33– Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgmentsand unfathomable His ways!
Ephesians 3: 20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all thatwe ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
We can’t even imagine the great things God can use us to accomplish.
Though God works through men He wants us to known that He is the one doing it.
I. Remember some of the great things God did in the Old Testament.
He delivered His people from the Egyptians :
Exodus 9: 14-16 For this time I will send all My plagues on you and your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth. 15“For if by now I had put forth My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, you would then have been cut off from the earth. 16 But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My namethrough all the earth.”( Compare : Rom. 9: 17–I raised you up)
Exodus 13: 14– But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.
Exodus 17: 8-13 Israel prevailed against Amalek only while the hands of Moses were raised.
Joshua 6 Israel marched around the great city of Jericho, but it was God who destroyed the walls.
Judges 6-7 When Gideon defeated the great multitude God sent only 300 soldiers.
Judges 15 God used Samson to killed 1000 Philistines using only the jawbone of an ass.
I Samuel 17 God used a Shepherd boy to defeat a giant warrior with only a stone in a sling.
This is the same great God who works through us today. Compare Text ... Ephesians 3: 21 “… according tothe power that works in us.”
II. In the New Testament Jesus gave God the credit for His mighty works.
John 9: 3-4 Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 3 We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.
John 17: 4 I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.
The Apostle cautioned that our faith must be in the “power of God”, not men. God uses men to implement His power on the earth, but the power is always in HIS control.
I Corinthians 2: 3-5 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling,4and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom,, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
II Corinthians 4: 6-7 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
Jesus chose only 12 Apostles to start a worldwide movement. 120 in the upper room ... Acts 1: 15 500 Witnesses ... I Corinthians 15: 6
God made it clear that Christians can do great things because of HIS power.
Philippians 4: 13 – I can do all thingsthrough Him who strengthens me. I John 4: 4– You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in youthan he who is in the world.
Ephesians 3: 20 – Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
Right here, right now God is able to use you and me to accomplish great things, not because of our might, but because of HIS.
III. How can you or I be used by God to accomplish HIS will. A.One must have faith.
Luke 17: 6 “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.”
One must be willing for God to use him. Matthew 23:37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and you were unwilling.
The great deeds of the O.T. involved men allowing God to use them. Noah Moses Samson Gideon David Jesus
One must be willing to commit himself. Matthew 16: 24-27 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.25For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it;but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a ....
In order to be used by God, one must have a desire for God’s will to be done. Luke 22: 42 Yet not My will but Yours be done
God ‘s men will not be stopped; they overcome every obstacle to do HIS will. Paul ... Peter ... Jeremiah
Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not remember Him Or speak anymore in His name,” Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire shut up in my bones; and I am weary of holding it in, and I cannot endure it. This is the attitude God wants.
We can limit ourselves, but we can’t limit God. Matthew 3: 8-9 Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; 9 and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you thatfrom these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
I challenge each of us to dream a dream for God. Individually / collectively
Ephesians 3: 20– Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, God can use YOU to .......
Set a specific goal and pray every day that God will use you to accomplish it.
Jesus invites you To come home To your heavenly Father’s house.
