  2. God’s Awesome Nature Has been Made Known • Through Nature: Rom. 1:20 • By Moses: Deut. 10:17 • By The Psalmist: Psalm 145:1-7 • By Jeremiah: Jeremiah 10:10-13 • By Paul: 1 Tim. 1:17 • Do you recognize and respect God’s awesome nature?

Many Do Not Listen • In spite of God’s revelation, many fail to respect His awesome nature, power, and authority. • Some are not taught, and therefore do not know how to honor God (Hos. 4:6). • Some seek to fulfill their own desires, and so do not respect God’s authority (2 Tim. 4:3-4). • Many simply do not take God seriously! • All of these things are taking place today, both in the world and in the church!

  4. Respecting an Awesome God • Move with godly fear (Ps. 99:1-3) • Be careful to do as the Lord commanded (Deut. 5:32-33) • Trust in His Wisdom (Prov. 3:5-8). • Praise Him with your whole heart (Psalm 9:1) • Remember that He is the One whom we serve(Col. 3:24).

God’s Awesome Power to Save • The gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes (Rom. 1:16). • The God whom we must fear has appointed Jesus to judge the world in the last day and only through Him can we be saved (Acts 17:30-31; 4:12). • Will you respond to the invitation of our Awesome God?

  6. Conclusion • What is our Conclusion? • “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Eccl. 12:13-14). • As God and His salvation are awesome, so is His judgment. • Are you willing to serve the Lord as your God? • You can obey the gospel today!
