Measuring in Manual Mode • You will be able to measure most patients even with cataracts and pathologies. • However, in the case that do you have a patient you are having trouble getting a reading on they may have the following: • Cataracts • Very small pupils • Pathologies – Keratconus, Pellucid, etc… • Eyelid (ptosis) • Dry Eye • Blinking and can not hold eye open for more than a few seconds • Moving head
Manual Mode Procedure From Measuring screen touch Auto icon to turn to Manual.
Manual Mode Procedure Move unit forward to one gold line (unit will not begin to measure in Manual Mode). Have patient blink several times, look at top of balloon and press the button on top of joystick to take a reading. Have patient blink again top of balloon and press button again and repeat until you have three good measurements.
Manual Mode Procedure When readings are complete and “Finish” is on the screen have patient blink, look at top of balloon and press button for topography (blue flash). Verify and save data to move over to other for same process. Be sure to change the unit back to Auto measure before measuring next patient or unit will not measure when moved to gold line.
