He will conduct postdoctoral research in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) at Colorado, USA. See a few photos (12345). 04-22-2007:Bye!Miss ZHOUXiaoyuan left Hong Kong today. Department of Applied Physics The Hong Kong Polytechnic University 05-01-2007:Mr. YAN Zhi’s paper“ZnO-based film bulk acoustic resonator for high sensitivity biosensor applications“, published in Applied Physics Letters 90, 143503 (2007), has been selected for the April 15, 2007 issue of Virtual Journal of Biological Physics Research. The Virtual Journal, which is published by the American Physical Society and the American Institute of Physics in cooperation with numerous other societies and publishers, is an edited compilation of links to articles from participating publishers, covering a focused area of frontier research. The Virtual Journal can be accessed at http://www.vjbio.org. 05-08-2007:ISIF’2007. Miss YUN Pan attended the International Symposium on Integrated Ferroelectrics’2007, France (8 to 11 May). Three posters from our group (authored by YUN Pan, CHEN Xuejiao and ZHANG Yuanyuan, respectively) were presented at the meeting. Later three papers will be submitted for publication in Integrated Ferroelectrics. 06-06-2007:A papertitled “Determination of strain dependence of resistance in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 thin films using converse piezoelectric effect" (Dr. ZHENG Renkui as the first author and Dr. WANG Yu as the second author) appears in the June 1, 2007 issue of Physical Review B (Vol.75, p.212102). 06-07-2007:Congratulations!Both YINGZhan and YAN Zhi passed doctoral degree exams (oral defense) at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology.
