Readers are our partners • New relationships and new links with the audience • The abundance and proliferation of virtual communities and collaboration environments provide the opportunity for us (journalists) to promote the citizen journalism.
The advance of the technology (digital cameras and telephones) allow us to create new contents where the dialogue, conversation and collaboration are strategic issues for the newsroom to reach new audiencies, specially young people.
In 2003 we have a similar experience, but it didn’t work. In those years the digital camara and phones were to expensive in a country where 54% of the population (estimated in 27 millions) below poverty line. • Now the information era has new elements and photography is the best way to work and cooperate with the readers. They expect a lot from us and the Internet gie us the opportunity to stay in the first line
