  3. The Spirit At And After Pentecost The gift of the Holy Spirit is for all believers Acts 2:38-39; Acts 5:32; Romans 8:9-11; Ephesians 1:13-14

  4. The Apostles and The Spirit They received the ability to perform miracles. Acts 2:43; Acts 5:12-16; II Corinthians 12:11-12

  5. The Apostles and The Spirit They had the power to give this ability to others. Acts 6:6-8; Acts 8:14-19; Acts 19:6 II Timothy 1:6; Romans 1:11

  7. Why Miraculous Gifts? The message of Jesus needed to be authenticated. John 20: 30-31; Mark 16:19-20; Acts 14:3

  8. When Did Miraculous Gifts Cease? When the Apostles were not there to pass them on to others. When the purpose of the miracles were no longer needed. (I Corinthians 13:10)

  9. Why Do We Need The Spirit? He is a deposit/seal guaranteeing what is to come. II Corinthians 1:21-22 and 5:5; Ephesians 1:13-14 and 4:30

  10. Why Do We Need The Spirit? He Sanctifies! Romans 15:15-16; I Corinthians 6:9-11; II Thessalonians 2:13

  11. Why Do We Need The Spirit? He transforms us into the likeness of Jesus. II Corinthians 3:17-18

  12. Why Do We Need The Spirit? He brings rebirth and renewal. Titus 3:4-7
