  3. And an increasing demand for answers Can I buy this TV cheaper in a nearby store? Which billboards are positioned to be seen by our ideal prospects? Where did I leave my iPad? If I improve the street lighting at this intersection, will it reduce accidents? If the drought persists, how reduced will the harvest be? Where should we open our next store? How do I attract passing trade into my coffee shop? Can you fix this pothole outside my house? How do we get the community to support our regeneration vision? How will the proposed stadium impact traffic flows? Can you tell me about that building across the street? How do I optimize today’s delivery routes? How do we route the pipeline to avoid ecological damage? Which bar are my friends in tonight? How do I modify the user’s experience to fit this situation? Is this the same pothole that was reported yesterday? Where’s the nearest ZipCar to use? How can we offer PayAsYouGo car insurance? How is this new flu variant spreading? Which households should I mail with our introductory offer? What is the right insurance risk premium for this property? How safe am I here? Where’s the best place to station the paramedics on game nights? Why are these cell subscribers churning when others are happy? Will our hurricane evacuation plan be effective? What’s the catchment area for the public library? Is there a connection between these recent fraud attempts?

  4. Enabled by the convergence of innovation

  5. Where spatial information provides the context • Spatial context enhances understanding • Insights can be gained from visualizing: • Natural and Built Environment • Impact and Magnitude • Distribution • Connections and Patterns • … to drive actionable intelligence • Spatial context enables relevancy • Low cost access to a user’s spatial data enables us to take into account their: • Physical environment • Social environment • State of motion • Likely interests and lifestyle • … to generate smarter communications and guide superior interactions

  6. Convergence for smarter city planning Transport Vision for 2015 • Spatial context enables • Citizen collaboration • Greater understanding • Less rework • Faster approval • Reduced timelines

  7. Convergence for a smarter customer experience Offer provides directions to the installation center On arrival, customer checks-in and sees localized content, and can share the experience with friends Geodemographic data used to determine the best offer to make to each customer Email includes a QR coupon and option to set a geo-reminder Customer alerted when near to the installation center
