Interesting Facts…”Fun Facts”… • Became 150th member of the World Trade Organization in 2007, after waiting 12 years to join • Largest exporter of cashews in the world, and the second largest exporter of rice. • Although Vietnam is a developing country, it has a literacy rate of 94%. • Among all developing countries, Vietnam has one of the lowest unemployment rates. • 10 Million motor bikes travel on the roads of every day. • Ruou ran (snake wine), rice wine with a pickled snake inside, allegedly can cure any sickness. • The most common surname in Vietnam is Nguyen. • The Vietnamese keep potbelly pigs as pets. • The Vietnamese language has six different tones. A change in tone changes the meaning of • Vietnam is about 8 times the size of Switzerland Twice the size of Arizona. • Iced tea is free in most restaurants. Some have hot tea; others have both. • When Vietnamese drink tea or water (or anything), they always leave 5 to 10% in the cup after drinking. They don’t empty their cups. • Vietnamese don’t take a shower in the morning. They take a shower/ bath in the evening.

Recommendation: Policy #2 • “To Establish Cyber Assurance Command Group to enforce strict policies to reduce cyber security vulnerabilities in Vietnam.” • Implementing best practices to modernize technological infrastructure. • i.e. Hackers use new methods and advanced techniques to attack websites • Improve competitive advantages with training and awareness. • Enforce Rules & Regulations to ensure information & network security.
