  5. Current Profession Organization:UNDP/Cambodia Project Title: Partnership for Local Governance (PLG) Position: National M&E Advisor Start on: April 17, 2002 Duty Station: National Level/PNP

  6. Project Information PLG Mission:to support the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Seila Program. Seila Program: is an aid mobilization and coordination framework for supporting to the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Decentralization and Deconcentration Reforms.

  7. Project Goal/Mission Seila program’s GOAL: to contribute to poverty alleviation through good governance. Seila program’s Objective: to institute decentralized and deconcentrated systems and strategies to manage sustainable local development.

  8. Project Goal/Mission The Expected Outputs: Related institutions at all levels strengthened and effectively implementing the decentralized and deconcentrated systems; Efficient and effective services and investment provided for local development; Policy and regulations for D&D and poverty alleviation improved

Tasks/Responsibilities To build up the capacity of the project’s counterparts at all levels (STFS, national ministry focal points, provincial staff and commune councilors) and provincial PLG Advisors to plan and implement the M&E activities related to local governance in general and of the Seila program in particular.

  13. My professional GOAL In the next program (2007-2011) of the PLG successor, I want to be more responsible and accountable with senior position in the program.

  14. Key Learning Needs ☺I expect that after the course, I will be able to: how best to design, plan and implement participatory project monitoring and evaluation at different levels for the D&D supported project understand different forms of project formulation how best to disseminate and use the monitoring and evaluation results for decision making.
