  2. Blessings In Christ • The Purpose of the lesson is to get us to appreciate some of the blessings we have in Jesus Christ. • Before spiritual blessings can be realized, we must see how to get into Christ • Once in Christ we learn to share those blessings with others.

  3. Blessings In Christ Outside of Christ—No spiritual blessings In Christ—every spiritual blessing Ephesians 1:3 How do we get in?

Jesus said: • I am the door - the entrance • I am the light – showing the way • I am the shepherd – to guide and protect • I am the way – the pathway to heaven • I am from above – God sent • I am with the Father – In agreement with God • I am He – the prophesied Messiah • I am the resurrection – the new hope • I am the bread of Life – spiritual food

Baptized Into Christ • Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? • 1Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. • Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Blessings In Christ • Romans 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, • Romans 6:11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. • Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. • Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! • 1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.

Blessings In Christ • 2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. • 2Corinthians 5:19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. • 2Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. • Galatians 2:4 And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage), • Galatians 2:16 "knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Blessings In Christ • Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, • Ephesians 1:10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him. • Ephesians 1:12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, • Ephesians 2:7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Blessings In Christ • Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. • Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. • Ephesians 3:6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, • Philippians 3:14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. • Colossians 1:28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

  14. Blessings In Christ • 1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. • 1Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. • 1Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. • 1Timothy 3:13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. • 2Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

Blessings In Christ • 2Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. • 2Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. • 2Timothy 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. • Philemon 1:6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. • Philemon 1:8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting,

Blessings In Christ • Ephesians 2:12-16 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.

  17. Conclusion • To enjoy the blessings of Christ, you must be in Christ. • Baptism is the only way that scripture tells us how to get into Christ. • Those outside of Christ do not have these blessings, even if they think they do. • Are you in Christ?
