3. Search for Samples As a Lab User, you will need to know how to search for samples that have been sent to your lab. Please use the following steps to search for samples.
Click the Lab Mgmt tab.
Select the Sample ID from the drop down box.
Click Search.
4. Create Lab ID Data Next, you will learn how to create lab ID data.
Click the Create Lab Data button.
5. Create Lab ID Data Once the Create Lab ID Data pop up appears, you will need to fill in the input fields for the appropriate information about the lab ID data. Required information is denoted with a red asterisk.
Select the Specimen Status from the drop down menu.
Select the Pest Name from the drop down menu.
Enter the numerical Specimen Amount.
Enter an alpha-numeric Specimen Unit of your choosing.
Select the Life Stage Name from the drop down menu.
Click Save.
6. Edit Lab Sample Data Click on the Edit icon next to the Pest Name.
7. Edit Lab Sample Data Update the lab ID data you need to change, and click Save. Required information will be denoted with an asterisk.
8. View Chain of Custody You can view the chain of custody for a sample using the Lab Mgmt
Search for and select a sample. The chain of custody will be displayed below the samples associated with the sample ID. tab
9. Create Chain of Custody Finally, you will learn how to create a chain of custody using the Lab Mgmt tab
Click Create Chain of Custody button.
10. Create Chain of Custody Select the lab to send the sample to from the drop down box.
Choose the date the sample was sent to the lab by clicking in the field and selecting the appropriate date from the calendar.
Enter the Shipping Carrier (e.g., UPS).
Enter the Shipping Tracking Number.
Click Save.
