FIRE KILLS FAST
“Nightmare on New Cavendish Street” This is utter chaos: people are crossing the main road, walking into the path of traffic, loitering outside, and NOT GOING TO THE ASSEMBLY POINT.
DO's and DONT's • on hearing the fire alarm. • DO: • Stop work immediately. • Leave the building immediately. • Obey the instructions of Fire Marshals and other staff.
Help any disabled person, if requested to do so. • Go immediately to the assembly point using the nearest available exit (this may not be your usual route out).
Remain at the assembly point until instructed to return to the building by an authorized member of staff.

DON’T WAIT ANYWHERE ELSE ↖MOVE UP THE STREET GET OUT OF SIGHT OF THE BUILDING ALWAYS!!!
DON'Ts: • Don’t ‘log off' nor 'save work' on computers. • Don’t guess why the alarm has gone off. • Don’t assume it's a practice - it could be a real emergency.
Don’t use the lifts. • Don’t disobey the instructions of Fire Marshals and staff. Failure to comply is a serious disciplinary offence. • Don’t cross the main road. Stay on the pavement.
Don’t loiter on the steps, anywhere outside, or across the road. This may expose you to danger (such as flying glass) and will obstruct the Fire Brigade and other emergency services. • No-one is allowed back into the building until the area is clear and EVERYONE has gone to the assembly point. Loitering wastes everyone’s time!
Don’t return to the building until instructed to do so, regardless of whether the alarms have stopped or not. • Don’t risk your life or the lives of others.
FIRE KILLS STAY SAFE
