  1. POPBy: GORDON KORMANAug 25,/2009realistic fiction MARCOS M. 2ND PERIOD

  2. Three alarm park is an important setting, because what happens there starts the story for ex: Marcus meets Charlie Popovich a famous NFL linebacker and they trained for football with each other. If this setting was different the story would be like the book football champ if Marcus didn’t meet Charlie Popovich in three alarm park Setting

  3. Characters

  4. This is man vs. society because the conflict in the book is that Marcus is trying to help Charlie because Charlie has a dease. Marcus get arrested trying to help Charlie, and Marcus gets out and tries to tell troy Charlie’s son why he is trying to help his dad. Conflict

  5. This story tells you about a boy named Marcus Jordan tying to help his older friend Charlie Popovich a famous line backer for the Cincinnati Bengals, but Charlie has a dease that his family is keeping a secret and Marcus tries to help Charlie, but he has a little bit of a struggle along the way. Marcus gets arrested trying to help Charlie. Summary of Plot

  6. This book teaches you to never judge a book by it cover. • Text Evidence 1: he was looking at the middle-aged man probably around his 50’s. He was tall and built red wood solid , but the guy ran like a gazelle and caught the ball with sure hands. Pg.3 • Text Evidence 2: “sorry” Marcus added embarrassed. ”For what?” The man flipped the ball “Making you look bad?”pg.3-4 • Text Evidence 3:Relieved Marcus grabbed the ball away, and barked “Now go deep!” It never crossed my mind that this old “Old man “ wouldn’t comply. Pg6 Theme

  7. The book pop point of view is 3rd person. The point of view is 3rd person because the reader isn’t a character in the book. The book uses he, they, they’re, etc. The author choose this point of view to help the reader understand the book better, because if this book was any other point of view the not wouldn’t be as good, sad, or interesting as it is already. Point of View

  8. The symbolism to this this book is the game football because the sport means a lot to the both main character and it affects the story because these two character care about football a lot. The symbolism is football because these characters meet and have a good relationship through the all - American game of football. Symbolism

  9. I think the book is great and I would recommend it to guys who like football books and I would recommend the book to girls that like sad or tragedy stories. I like this because it’s a great book and I would love for people to read it. Recommendation
