Retailio: Revolutionizing the Digital Retail Experience in Saudi Arabia Led by A Trailblazing Trio It is known as Digital Retail when one needs to buy and sell anything through an online platform. It can be a Shop, an Enterprise, a Warehouse, a Company, or an Organization. It is technically a business that oversees the digital retailing experience in the buying and selling of products. Digital Retail is also another word and phrase given for E-Commerce shopping. A Digital Retail Experience can cover several features and services such as Promoting and Selling products and services, Supply Chain Logistics, Marketing, Advertising, and Customer Service. This strategy is adopted by businesses and companies to increase their sales and profits, attract more customers, engage with buyers, and provide a seamless and user-friendly shopping and retailing experience which ensures that 90% of the business transactions are done online and the rest 10% would just require an in-person verification at some point. There are some digital retail business marketplace platforms online that incorporate business models such as B2B or B2C, and more. When other shops and business organizations, brands, and companies, especially Small and Medium-Sized businesses (SMEs), need to purchase products be it in a small stock or bulk, reach out to big marketplace retailing platforms online and place the orders for the required products. This strategy that startups and entrepreneurs invest in creates a smooth digital retail experience platform that acts as a marketplace for purchasing inventory by SMEs. Therefore in this article, we will be covering the entrepreneurial journey of a Riyadh-based digital distribution platform - Retailio Technologies for SME retailers and restaurants in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The trailblazing trio behind this digital innovation and start-up idea that skyrocketed from its inception are Co-Founders - Muhammad Talha Ansari, Muhammad Nowkhaiz, and Wahaj Ahmed. The Trailblazing trio - Co-Founders at Retailio Technologies: The three trailblazers hailing from Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in The Middle East, who have been the rocks and foundations in bringing the idea of ‘digitally transforming retail in Saudi’ to fruition are - Muhammad Talha Ansari, Muhammad Nowkhaiz, and Wahaj Ahmed. Muhammad Talha Ansari is a Co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Retailio Technologies. Muhammad Talha received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Finance from The Institute of Business Administration. His very first working experience was as a Consumer Banking Intern. Thereafter he worked in varying positions such as Business Analyst and Venture Development Manager at Rocket Internet, CEO and Managing Director of Foodpanda, Senior Director of Operations at Careem Network, and then finally co-founded Retailio alongside his other two partners. Muhammad Nowkhaiz is the 2nd Co-founder and the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Retailio. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences and has thereafter worked in varying positions and roles before co-founding Retailio. From working as a Growth Manager at Bagit to being the Founding and Strategic Head at Shopistan, to being the CEO and Co-founder of Tazadaily, and then the Strategic Head again at Careem Network, Muhammad Nowkhaiz partnered up with Muhammad Talha Ansari and a third co-founder to unveil a B2B digital distribution marketplace platform for SMEs. Wahaj Ahmed is the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and acting Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) apart from being the third Co-founding member alongside Muhammad Talha Ansari and Muhammad Nowkhaiz, at Retailio. Wahaj Ahmed has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance as well as in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences. He too has experience working in HR roles and positions, as a Marketing Manager, Assistant General Manager at Careem Network, Associate at McKinsey&Company, and then finally working as CRO and acting CHRO at Retailio. These three inspiring hard workers have banded together and founded Retailio Technologies to “economically empower the Saudi Arabian region by supercharging trade through technology”.
