AIMPLAS, Technological Institute of Plastics (Valencia, Spain) Cooperative Project PLASWELD:„Development of a new laser welding technique for joining different types of polymers” started 1st October 2006 Looking for SME to join the project
The Institute for Materials Technology and Plastics Processing (IWK), University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil Looks for the coordinator Topics • NMP-2007-1.2-1 or NMP-2007-2.1-1: Tests and analyses of the influences of injection moulding with nano reinforced materials to parts properties (content, size, shape and distribution of filler) • NMP-2007-2.2-1, NMP-2007-2.2-2 or NMP-2007-2.2-3: R+D work in the pre-phase of serial production concerning conversion of new materials into new products, e.g. transparent polymers with electrical or thermal conductivity for electronics and photonics • NMP-2007-2.4-1 or NMP-2007-3.1-2: • Integration of new functionalities into plastic parts (sensors, lighting, electrical or thermal conductivity, etc.) in a one step process for cost-effective parts production. Wide experience exists with back injection moulding. • Developing and realisation of new cost-efficient, energy saving and flexible production processes using special mould and process technologies. Actual project experiences exist with cycle time reduction of up to 60%. • NMP-2007-3.1-2, NMP-2007-4.0-1 or NMP-2007-4.0-2: Recombining the advantages of plastic and composite material properties using innovative production processes, e.g. metal injection moulded load transmission elements for large composite structures. Experience in a collaborative project between IWK, ETHZ and a German University of Applied Sciences.
Surface S.r.l (Rome) Project Title:DEVELOPMENT OF NEW NANO-CRYSTALLINE SURFACE CONVERSION COATINGS FOR METALS The objective of this project is to develop for HDG steel, a conversion coating formed by a single nano-layer or multi layers allowing new surface functions such as: appearance, adherence, corrosion, resistance Partner request: 4 SMEsThe ideal Partner is a SME producer either of chemical conversion treatment solution and/or paint systems either a hot-dip Galvanizer whose market is the general line including eventually galvanized steel rebar for concretereinforcement.
