  2. Project Background Consultancy about the crime happens in Houston Covered all locations in the Houston Provides complete information of crimes and security in houston.
  3. There is no existing system for this project Business Need The people in Houston make life ending or life threatening decisions without knowing the premises where they live or where they are going to live.
  4. Houston crime consultancy provides all the information about the crimes happen in the Houston with respect to place, offense type, date, time and police beats.
  5. Business Requirements A system is needed that will: 1. Find out the 10 safest locations in Houston 2. Providing information to real estate, building constructers, schools, banks, marts and so on. 3. Produce complete picture of the crime happened in last six months in Houston.
  6. Business Value This consultancy process would: Provides security Prevents crime rate Gives an idea to the police department where and when the crime may occur
  7. INPUTS The inputs to the system could be the client requirements and the update data base from the police department. The client’s requirements can be requesting the different reports from the system.
  8. Reports Generate reports by: a. offense type, location with premises codes b. offense type , date with a particular time c. location, time and police beats d. premises code, offense type, time.
  9. Reports cont… By the crime status provided by the Houston police department the system automatically generates a report everyday consisting of the details of each crime , where and when it has happened. It will be sent to the disbursement team for further processing. The system also generates the weekly report and monthly report then yearly consisting of crime rate in a particular location and provides the information to public for better decision making.
  10. Economic feasibility The budget constraint for the project is going to be $1000s aprox. (The SQL server and visual studio $100 and a system for $500s and $100 for each of us.
  11. More economic. The system will give free information to the public to know whether their location is safe or not. But to know the crime rate and offence types, premises, time, and date there will be certain amount to pay. Guest, Monthly, yearly and life time memberships are available.
  12. Collected data The raw data has been collected from the Houston police dept and processed the data into SQL server. Automated system to update the data. The data consists of 84000 records in the last 6 months(jun2009-dec2009) which contains all the classified data into location, offense type…..
  13. Database Process The system generates the monthly report for the list of default customers and customers data is collected in the data base. The username and passwords are given to each customer who has registered for monthly to yearly. The e – mail addresses have been collected and the system sends the alerts to each and everyone in the data base.
  14. Special Issues / Constraints The system needs to be in place within two months.
