Oven / Support structure • Installed the new oven earlier. • Installed the new heaters and RTDs • UNFORTUNATELY, the structure was BROKEN near the bottom of the air flow tube • GOOD NEWS===the oven is still safe and fine • The new structure is being designed • Waiting on it !!( supposed to be delivered now) Many thanks to Al and Susan

Oven Test • Currently the old GEn air inlet and outlet pipe is being used • The GEn air flow system installed • Trying to heated up the oven. • Successfully heat up to 240 deg. C • More tests to be carried out next week to optimize
Laser Update • 6 single FAP and 2 Duo FAP • All tested and recalibrated • One needs to be repaired and will be sent shortly • GOOD NEWS :::: COHERENT decided to resume production
Other Aspects • New pick up coils/stands ready • Vertical coil support design completed and delivered • Moving fixture design completed and delivered • BB Field clamp design completed and ordered • Exit beam line design mostly completed • 6 hybrid cells already produced and on track with one in every couple of weeks
Optics • New 5 to 1 combiners tested (qty=3) • New 75 meter fibers (qty=10) tested • ALL LOOK GOOD • All of them to be installed in the Hall in summer • The Optics line design to be worked on shortly 3 optics line:: Longitudinal,Transverse,Vertical • Simulation is being done for the optics lines
Software • Combine the spin-flip lab view code with NMR signal analysis and EPR measurement. 1. NMR frequency sweep signal can be extracted and fitted after every spin-flip. Provide quick & continuous cell polarization monitoring. 2. EPR measurement can be controlled automatically by spin-flip program during every spin-flip, also can be controlled manually without affecting the main program. 3. Add counter connected to FG to monitor the frequency sweep process which is crucial to spin-flip. • Spin polarization status(+/-) can be monitored continuously by a TTL output signal of the FG together with ADC and scalar. The record of Labview can communicate with EPICS as a complementary method to check the spin status. • All of the software programs will be fully tested after the installation.
Real Testson list in next 3 months • The oven is being tested • Laser alignment • NMR/EPR/SPIN FLIP to be tested • All the new related softwares to be tested accordingly • Water field and frequency sweep to be tried • New vertical coil to be tested in the new lab • BB field mapping with the new shielding before moved to HALL C

All experts/experienced people around We will definitely be able to meet the deadline already set before and WE WILL BE READY by January 1st 2008 for installation Towards all four He-3 Experiments starting with TRANSVERSITY
