Examples of a Simile • Her home was like a prison. • It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog. • Watching the show was like watching paint dry.
Your Assignment… • Complete the simile: "The scramble for territory in Africa among European countries was like...." • Then DRAW your metaphor. • LABEL: Great Britain, "other European countries," and "Africa” in your drawing.
