Conclusions • SPMDs can withstand > 1-y exposures in open ocean • sampling rates ~ 6 L/d (460 cm2 normalised) • extracted water volumes ~ 1 m3 • curve fitting of N/N0 vs Ksw reduces subjective judgement • Irminger Sea : moderate increase of Cw with depth • Canary Basin: sharp decrease with depth • Str. Mozamb.: low Cw for HCB, DDE, PCB, PAH • Pretty high PAH concentrations in Canary Basin and Irminger Sea
