Energy Plan Strategies • 1 - Reduce environmental and economic costs of energy consumption through improvements in end-use efficiency and conservation. • 2 – Reduce the environmental impacts of electricity generation by encouraging clean and renewable energy generation • 3 – Reduce the economic impacts of transmission congestion • 4 – Promote clean distributed generation

Recommendation Examples • Develop an aggressive consumer education program to promote Energy Star appliances & equipment to builders and consumers in the Residential and Commercial sectors. • Recognize outstanding energy-efficient design & construction with a “Governor’s Award”
