3. Bills Signed into Law House Bill 158 Amends the Mississippi Public Records Act to provide that unit prices in "contracts awarded by state agencies" cannot be subject to a protective order Probably does not apply to local governments

4. Bills Signed into Law HB 813 Increases the registration fee for underground storage tanks to a maximum of $200 per year per tank

5. Bills Signed into Law House Bill 1114 Amends Miss. Code Ann. §21-15-41 to reduce the length of time allowed for a hold-over in a municipal or municipally appointed office to 90 days Allows any registered voter in the municipality to file suit in chancery court

6. Bills Signed into Law House Bill 1122 Limits local governments from enacting land use regulations affecting "agricultural operation, forestry activity or traditional farm practices on agricultural land or land that is otherwise unclassified if the land is used for an agricultural operation, forestry activity or traditional farm practices" The prohibition does not affect land subject to regulation under FAR Part 77 or any activity which creates an "obstruction to navigable airspace"

Bills Signed into Law HB 1306 Provides that any provision in a construction contract making the contract subject to the laws of another state or requiring dispute resolution (litigation, arbitration, etc.) in another state is void Contract must be for the improvement of real property, including supplying materials Requires at least one party to be a "resident" of Mississippi, defined as an individual or a business organization located in the state

Bills Signed into Law SB 2674 Allows local governments to charge a fee for reverse auctions and for the receipt of electronic bids Allows collection of a fee from the winning bidder in a reverse auction of not more than 4% of the winning bid amount Allows collection of a fee of not more than $50 from each bidder submitting an electronic bid May be paid to the local government or a third-party service provider

9. Bills Signed into Law SB 2998 Exempts sales of rotary wing aircraft from Mississippi sales tax if removed from the state within 48 hours of the sale
