In Short • Everybody had a good story to tell • People who are involved are excited and passionate • The Dream is to expand and build on what we are already doing well. (Getting more people involved and committed) • In all the diverse groups there was huge consistency across all the different groups (2500 people 4 themes for each question)
Anglican Church Schools- additional input • Value their link with the Anglican church and our traditions • Value the induction services for prefects, chaplains and heads • Want to take a strong stand on social issues • Want to build new church schools to help address the crisis in education • Hope to strengthen their relationship with the diocese and each other • Would like annual combined services for the schools • Dream that each school build a chapel that can accommodate the entire school • Desire a Bishop who can stand firmly beside them as they face challenges of operating in a multi-faith society
Parish & Diocesan Office Staff- additional input • Valued an opportunity to meet with each other and expressed a desire to do this more often • Seeking more appreciation and respect • Would like market related salaries • Dream of a daily experience of servant leadership
Youth Valued: • Being invited to participate in the process • Meeting as a diocesan group and expressed a desire to do this more often • The sense of belonging that being an Anglican gives them – we are unique and diverse but united. Desires: • A community that is vibrant, passionate, energetic & committed in music, worship, prophetic voice, wanting to give & walking the talk • To be respected, recognized & given an opportunity to participle – recognizing that with this comes accountability, responsibility & commitment • Safety – from the environments in which they live and within their parish environment • Mentoring, guidance, formational education – crying out for role models, sharing career ideas
