GENERAL INFO. • The spotted owls is in British Columbia, Canada, Oregon, California and Washington. • It has a diet of flying squirrels, wood rats, mice and other small rodents, it has also been know to eat birds and insects and reptiles. •   It’s height is about 18 inches. It is 18 inches in length and it has a wingspan of about 48 inches.

  3. ENDANGERED. • The species is endangered for a few reasons. • One would be because of loggers and cutting down trees and large parts of forests. • Another cause would be the growth in the population.

  4. HELP. • What is being done to help them is that they are setting aside large pieces of land for the Spotted Owl. • The plan is not affective because sometimes the Spotted Owl mates with it’s relative the Barred Owl and it reduces the genetic code.

  5. PLAN. • Our plan to protect the Spotted Owl would be to get a good amount of the population and create a closed in area that resembles a forest like its natural habitat and feed them and keep them healthy so the can repopulate.
