6. How to use the library • Reference [R /PR] • All sliit students are allowed to use the any library of SLIIT Campuses for reference • Lending • Students who have library membership are allowed to borrow books

Circulation • Loan Duration • For student 7 days – allowed to renew • Weekend Issues • During Vacations – 10 days • For Post graduates 14 days – allowed to renew through web • Reference • Books on high demand will be issued for overnight use • DVD/CDs borrows inform the requirement to the Library counter

9. Fines & Lost Library Materials • A user may be permitted to replace with an identical book acceptable to the librarian within a month. or • Required to pay the replacement cost of the item +50 %. or • If the item lost/damage can not be replace , the user will be require to pay a replacement cost + any other additional chargers as penalty as determined by SLIIT • Fines • Overdue fine per day Rs.115/= • In case of illness allowed to submit a medical certificate • Lost Library Materials

26. Opening Hours • SLIIT Libraries are open to it’s students every day including Weekends 7.30am to 7.00pm. Malabe 7.30am to 6.30pm. Metro 8.30am to 5.00pm Matara • It is closed only on Poya days and special dates marked according to SLIIT calendar If you need practical experience in how to use the library, contact the library and get register yourself.
