Astronauts tend to lose up to 0.4- 1% of there bone density per month in space They recover there muscle tissue when they return to Earth
How often do astronauts exercise in space? Astronauts exercise approximately 30 minutes The astronauts that live on the International Space Station (ISS) atleast exercise for two hours per day
What equipment do they use? A Space cycle machine egrometer A space treadmill ISS(International Space Station) crewmembers use a cycle machine ergometer and a treadmill This is used for cardiovascular exercise and resistance device for the muscles The cycle machine ergometer is similar to a stationary bicycle The treadmill requires a secure astronaut to the treadmill
