Sensory Language • Appeals to the 5 senses • Examples: • Taste - Yummy • Sight - Beautiful • Touch - Rough • Smell - Sweet • Hearing - Loud
Metaphor • A comparison made by saying that one thing is something else. • Example: • The tree’s bright red and orange leaves were a fire in the sky
Simile • A comparison using like or as • Example: • The leaves danced on the wind like birds in flight.
