Our Purpose • To use multiliteracies to create a Digital Book Report for Charlotte’s Web • Six Components • Researching • Collaborating • Creating • Sharing • Exploring • Communicating
Overview • 4th grade focus using Charlotte’s Web • Students will collaborate using Wall Wisher • Students will create a presentation using VOKI • The overall goal is for students to share their digital book report
Wall Wisher • Sticky note discussion board that can be used for collaboration • Students can add videos, links, and images • Students can work on the same board • A great way for students to prepare for a group project
Purpose of Wall wisher • Students should collaborate with each other on the discussion board • They should post thoughts, ideas, and images that will eventually help them create a VOKI. • http://wallwisher.com/wall/ELA-BR

VOKI • Interactive free website • Voki Classroom –about $30 for yearly license, -allows for more creative options • Create avatars and give them a voice • Create settings and scenes • Control content and messages • Used in classroom, posted to Blogs, and other websites/wikis
Purpose of Voki • Allows for digital creativity • Motivate students • Integrate technology throughout content areas • Encourages engagement • Increases comprehension
