THE FOUNDER OF THE HOUSE OF TATA: • Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. • The Founder of the House of Tata. • The son of a merchant. • Jamsetji entered his father's business in 1859. • Mr. Jamsetji Tata passed away in Germany, on May 19, 1904.
JEHANGIR R. D. TATA: THE AVIATOR • The son of Mr. Ratanji Dadabhai. • Born in France in 1904. • 1925 he joined Tata. • Played a critical role in increasing India's scientific, medical and artistic quotient. • He died in Geneva on November 29, 1993.
NAVAL HORMUSJI TATA: THE PEOPLE'S PERSON • Son of Jamsetji Tata. • Joined the Tata Group in 1930. • His most valuable contribution outside of business was in the domain of labor relations. • Mr. Naval Tata became part of Geneva-based International Labor Organisation governing body in 1951. • Tata passed away in 1989.
RATAN NAVAL TATA: 21ST CENTURY AND BEYOND • Born Bombay, December 28, 1937. • Son of Naval Hormusji Tata. • Made the Tata Group a global player. • In January 10, 2005 issue of Forbes Asia, named Ratan Tata as Asia's Businessman of the Year.
Childhood & The way he is here: • Ratan squirmed when their British driver dropped him off at the all-boys Campion School in the family Rolls Royce. • He was thirteen when he was suddenly picked up by childless and widowed Lady Navajbai Tata. • He received a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from Cornell University in 1962. • Honored with Padma Bhushan, one of the highest civilian awards in 2000.
Childhood & The way he is here: • From his grandmother, the young Ratan imbibed the importance of dignity, keeping promises and being dependable. Tata has never married. In Bombay, he would date on and off; more off than on, and once even got engaged, but broke it off before the cards could be printed. • He joined the Tata Group in 1971. • Appointed Chairman of Tata Industries in 1981. • In 1991, Ratan Tata took over the Chairmanship from JRD Tata. • Tata Motors came up with Tata Indica, the first truly Indian car. • He was also conferred an honorary doctorate in business administration by Ohio State University.

Limitations For Tata Nano: 1.Tata Nano must not be used for commercial purposes. 2. Tata Nano must not be sold to metro and Cosmo cities in India. 3. Spare parts must be easily available but must come with premium cost. 4. Free emission checkups must be done for.
