Perpendicular Lines • Two lines that intersect to form a right angle.
Parallel Lines • Two coplanar lines that do not intersect. • Also, as you learned in algebra, they have the same slope.

Distance (point to line) • The distance from a point to a line is the length of the perpendicular segment from the point to the line.
Segment Bisector • A line that divides a segment into two congruent parts.
Midpoint • The point where a bisector intersects the segment.
Perpendicular Bisector • A bisector that is perpendicular to a segment.
Angle Bisector • A line or ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles.
