  1. This Sunday: Surge in the Sanctuary – 6:15. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED WITH THE SET-UP, RUNNING THE GAMES, AND THE CLEAN-UP FOR THE FALL FESTIVAL! GVBC STUDENTS ROCKED THIS WEEKEND!!! Saturday, Nov. 12th: Bonfire, etc. at the Atkins house. 4 PM – 8ish. This event is for youth and youth leaders – sorry, no other parents! Girls – bring chocolate bars and graham crackers for s’mores Guys – bring marshmallows and drinks Wear warm clothes, bring a blanket if you need one. Meet at church at 3:45 if you need a ride. Invite a friend. RSVP ASAP! See Tim Laramore or Lynda Jennings for more information. Nov. 17-20 = Missions Revival and DiscipleNow weekend. Every Sunday night during Surge we are highlighting a “Student of the Week” with an interview by Mr. Jeff “The Beas” Beasley (a.k.a. Earl). We are making every effort to include all our students in what we do with Surge. From the praise and drama teams to Student of the Week, everyone is part of the team! Summer 2012: Snowbird: 6/25 – 6/30 = Believe it or not, registration is OPEN for Snowbird 2012! Have your $100 deposit ready! VBS: August 5-10 – get ready to volunteer! Winston/World Changers: we’re still talking through options on this, but the dates will be July 14-21. Activate Student Leaders: This Sunday (Nov. 6th) will be nominations for Activate Student Leaders. During the SS hour, you will be given the opportunity to nominate someone from your grade to help lead our student ministry. Begin thinking/praying about who that should be! Remember to be praying for Matt Mayes as he gets closer to finishing OLD School at Snowbird! I know we usually have 10 things, but really, could you handle anymore this week?!?!
