  1. Star Gazette Newspaper That Interesting Red Planet By Sam Jones Have you ever heard of the red planet? Mars has fascinated people for many years. Mars is referred to as the “red planet” because of its distinct red color. The planet It is the 4th planet in the Solar System. It actually is Earth’s neighbor in space! Unlike Earth however, there is no life on the planet Mars. A day on Mars is a little over 24 hours. Another interesting facts is that a year on Mars is 687 days. While Earth has only one moon, Mars has two moons named Phobos and Diemos. There are so many fascinating facts about Mars. The more people find out about this red planet, it seems the more interested they become!
