Materials • C-5 Galaxy case study (full) • Executive summaries for F-111, Hubble and the Theater Battle Management Core System • Friedman and Sage Systems Engineering concepts paper • Previous work on the Thames Barrier
Group work (am) • Groups of 4 • Learning Principles distributed 1 per person • 15-20 minutes private study of the overall background with a focus on your learning principle • 5 min each to present to the group • Group discussion • Identify issues • Propose systems engineering practices in support or mitigation • Executive summaries + Thames Barrier allocated to individuals • 15 minute individual review of the case study learning points • Group discussion • Generalise issues • Identify spokesperson for afternoon session
