Building Strong Partnerships • Relies heavily on NOAA, NWS and FEMA for partnership • Building relations with community partners that work with vulnerable citizens. i.e., those with no ways and means to evacuate, those with disabilities, the elderly and those with language barriers • Establishing a media task force • Established a religious taskforce • Building a more direct relationship with USGS and other federal agencies

Improving Hazard Mitigation • Improving communications capabilities through the newest technologies • Understanding the underserved populations needs and concerns and conducting preparedness educations programs. • Working in partnership to ensure that local community leaders, the media, local and state officials speak with one unified voice • Conveying to the public that MCEMA federal partners also support all pre-event and post-event efforts to save life and property all citizens in Mobile County

  4. Every Second Counts and Every Life Is Valuable • Improvement of communication of all hazards through an advanced telecommunication system for the public • Reviewing procedures for the implementation of new policy regarding using sirens for emergencies other than chemical spills
