  3. What is not Islamophobic? • Inter-religious polemic • Reasonable fear or hatred against specific Muslims • Disagreement with Islam-could be secular

  4. types of Islamophobia • “dhimmitude” • Terrorism & Violence as somehow uniquely or especially Muslim issues • Misogyny (obsession with Muslim women and “liberating” them) • Insulting or harmful attacks on Islam beyond normal polemic
