  10. Four Questions • How did you pick your major? • What should we change to make the CIS Major better? • What was your favorite class? Why? • What was your least favorite class? Why?

  11. Rules on Input • Hear once – ignore • Hear twice – think about it • Hear three times – plan for change • Hear four times – CHANGE TOMORROW

  12. How did you pick your major? • Common Themes: • Three students started as minors and “upgraded” • Two started as CS and switched (hated math requirements)

  13. What should we change to make the CIS major better? • Common Themes: • More “hands-on” mentioned 3 times • Sections are filling up too quickly mentioned 3 times • Systems Analysis may need some help, look in to this (mentioned 2 times)

  14. What was your favorite class? Why? • Common Themes • Web Programming mentioned 4 times, “love the hands-on experience.”

  15. What was your least favorite class? Why? • Common Themes • No class mentioned more than once. • Foreign student teachers who are hard to understand was mentioned 2 times.

  16. Action Plan • Continue to add “hands on” projects that deal with “real world” topics in classes. • Look into Systems Analysis and offer help.
