  2. Jesus = Messiah • He claimed it – John 4:25,26 “I who speak to you am He.” • It was claimed by others of Him – John 1:41 “We have found the Messiah.” • He demonstrated it by His fulfillment of every Messianic prophecy we know of, leaving no room for doubt.

  3. Probability of Jesus fulfilling only 8 prophecies • 1 in 1017 or 1 in 1 Hundred Million Billion or 100,000,000,000,000,000 • Like covering the entire state of Texas with silver dollars two feet deep. • Mark One – Drop from a Plane -Mix them up – have a person select the marked one at random the 1st time!

  4. Lineage of Messiah • Begins with Eve and ends with Mary • About 4,000 years! • Genesis 3:15 one of the earliest Messianic Prophecies. • Offspring is of the woman (Eve) • Galatians 4:4 “God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.”

  6. John the Baptist • Prepare the way for Messiah • Preaching that the Jews needed to repent and turn back to the Lord their God • Identifies Jesus as “the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” John 1:29

Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • His Miracles – • Isaiah 35:5 “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.” • Matthew 9:35 “Jesus went about all the cities & villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, & healing every sickness & every disease among the people.”

  14. Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • His Teaching in Parables – • Psalm 78:2 “I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old.” • Matthew 13:34 “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them.”

Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • Crucified with Thieves – • Isaiah 53:12 “I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He has poured out His soul unto death, & was numbered with the transgressors,…” • Matthew 27:38 “Two robbers were crucified with Him…”

  21. Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • Made Intercession for Persecutors – • Isaiah 53:12 “and He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.” • Luke 23:34 “Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’…”

  23. Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • Committed Himself to God – • Psalm 31:5 “Into Your hand I commit my spirit;…” • Luke 23:46 “And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ Having said this, He breathed His last.”

  24. Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • His bones not broken – • Psalm 34:20 “He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.” • John 19:33 “But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.”

Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • His Resurrection – • Psalm 16:10 “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, or will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” • Acts 2:31 “he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.”

Fulfilled Every Prophecy Concerning: • Seated at God’s Right Hand – • Psalm 110:1“The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’” • Hebrews 1:2,3 “has in these last days, spoken to us by His Son….He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

  31. “He purged our sins!” • Not Unconditionally • Mark 16:15,16 “preach the gospel to every creature, He who believes & is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” • SAVED = BELIEVE + BAPTIZED • LOST = DO NOT BELIEVE

  34. Even Those Who Call Jesus Lord, May Not Be Acceptable • Matthew 7:21 • Saying “Lord, Lord” not enough • Must DO the Will of His Father in Heaven

  35. What God Promised From the Beginning is now available to ALL who will CLAIM IT! Victory over Satan & Sin! Complete Forgiveness by virtue of the Blood of Jesus, the Christ [Messiah]
